Zaheerabad Municipality was constituted in the year 1953 and the present status of the Municipality is III Grade. The National High Way No.(65) Hyderabad – Mumbai passes though the center of the town. The population of the Town as per 2001 census is 45,359 & 2011 census is 52193 and the daily floating population is 45,000. The present population since merging of surrounding village is 65,000/-.

Zaheerabad is a fast growing IIIrd grade Municipality having spread over 21.78 Sq.kms. It is situated at a distance of 105 Kms from the State Capital of Hyderabad.
